What started off as a therapeutic practice to overcome her stress and grief turned out to be a "Journey of Self Discovery" for this creative Art and Design consultant, Ishrat Nazneen (Nazish) from Hyderabad, India. Her selected work for the recently concluded Art and Design Fashion Week Milan, got her making waves in the Contemporary Art world with her art being collected far and wide. Along with an impressive line up of National and International exhibitions, gallery representation from Milan, Feurteventura to upcoming partnerships with galleries from Switzerland and Spain. Her works are intuitive, experimental abstracts which are conceptual and evocative.

She translates her response to feelings and thoughts she goes through at the moment into her art which is constantly evolving. She also works with interior designers to create bespoke collections. Currently preparing for her upcoming exhibitions in Delhi, Paris and Brussels in the following months, this is one contemporary artist to watch out for.

SAKSHI KUKREJA

Without the ability to actualise an idea or concept, art would not exist. Sakshi’s work is a constant search for the best way to interpret the ideas that she has about herself and the world she lives in. She does not limit herself to one medium, style, or concept. Each piece she creates is simultaneously an extension from the past where she has come from and what she has learnt , as well as for the future, where she is going . Having worked with many prestigious organisations projects, she has been exposed to a number of aspects of the art world.

In her work lately, she has used Mix Media to depict the materialism and superficiality prevalent in the world, where societal validation supersedes a sense of morality and the rustic effect in her compositions are the denominator of our personal environment . Her work is an examination of the different forms that are taken by the shield of superficiality, and the thinking that lies behind it.

She believes, if a viewer stops for just a moment to view and reflect on a piece she has created, then she has succeeded in her work.

Tanvi Nair is a self-taught artist from Mumbai. She is a commerce graduate, also holding certification in Physical Fitness/Sports Fitness.

She had always been good at drawings during her school years and could never take it up seriously. But it was only during the first lockdown she actually managed to take out time and got even more creative. She began taking orders for customised work and she enjoys as it's very challenging.

She has also utilised free time in learning & enhancing her art skills.

Every time the entire process of creating beautiful art pieces proves to be so therapeutic, it's truly a healing process.

She mainly works in acrylics & focuses on creating vibrant paintings. Abstracts, expressionisms is what she loves doing the most. Learning whimsical art is next on her list. She believes being creative is a blessing. As an artist she is fortunate enough to be able to paint her imaginations.

The idea about her artworks wasn't a lot of thinking as she is a nature lover, spiritual & a little bit religious as well. What's more interesting and captivating then to showcase her thoughts through her paintings? It is even more easier for the viewers to relate to the message behind the artworks.

“Art doesn’t just happen by accident. It is about pulling out new tricks and trying new things.” - Nicholas Meyer.
Being an artist is a full-time job just like any other field that people work in. A lot of time, energy and hard work is put into every single piece of art that we see. A part of your soul goes into every piece you create.

Art is a quest! That is her notion on art. It is a continuous search for inspiration, style, theme colour, medium and so forth.

HER LIFE THROUGH ART :

Art has a deep effect on people whether it is a drawing or a sculpture. Art has inspired thousands of years of civilisation as the evidence shows by countless museums, theatres, and galleries all around the world. People are affected by art differently. For instance, art has inspired her to become the person she is today. For as long as she remembers art has been part of her life. Making artworks, painting and drawing, was one of the major routines in her childhood.

Her earliest experiences of art that she remembers began during preschool and kindergarten. She remembers drawing pictures of her family, making cards, and finger painting. Art has been the main force in her life, without art she would see the world differently.

She started painting as a kid; her parents put her in a class that dealt with oil paint. Her teacher helped her find interest in art. She let her express who she was in her paintings. She taught her how to be patient and passionate about her artwork. She was able to paint whatever she wanted. To her, painting was a way to communicate. As a shy person, painting was a way to express her feelings, thoughts, and dreams into a piece of art as it is a fusion of what one’s heart beats for, what one’s head can think of and what one’s hands can work upon.

As life rolled on, so did inspirations, experience, guidance, and ideas kept floating in and shaped her into the person she is today.
